Senior Data Engineer opportunity with a company who are developing their team to implement new technology into an incremental stage of change.
The intent of this hire will be to progress into a squad lead role with technical leadership. You will initially join as a hands on developer/architect focusing on their new applications using AWS technologies.
The data technology will all be cloud based (on AWS). The tech stack will include AWS Athena, Lambdas, Glue, S3 etc. As part of a team, your role will be varied with a high degree of autonomy and ownership of designing and building solutions. As the organisation evolves in data maturity, they will look to adopt new technologies.
They are implementing a new data lake using dremio and one of the first in Ireland to do this.
The ideal data engineer will have 6 – 9 years’ experience in data engineering, be versatile and happy to learn new technologies.
Role/ Opportunity
- Senior Data Engineer
- Greenfield Projects
- Data Pipeline development/ Datawarehouse/ Data Visualization/ AWS / Glue/ Athena, Lambdas, CICD, Python
- IaC/cdk
- AWS Redshift or Similar ie snowflake (MPP DB)
- Dublin City Center (Hybrid working)
- Varied, diverse role which will evolve to technical lead
Experience:
- 6+ years’ experience in Data Engineering
- SQL and Python or Java skills
- Experience building data pipelines, databases along with architecture
- AWS Redshift or Similar
- Experience in AWS technologies such as Glue, Athena, S3, Lambdas, Step Functions.
This opportunity requires an Irish/EU passport or Stamp 4 Visa
Salary: €100’000 -12% bonus, pension, healthcare etc.
