A global SaaS company with millions of users are looking for a Cloud SRE to join their modern, global R&D centre in a prime Dublin City Centre location.  

The role has been open to major growth and so the organization can take on additional greenfield projects – which you will have the opportunity to be part of. The role will involve greenfield projects, day-to-day operations as well as upgrades, migrations and new customer implementations – no two days will be the same in a really exciting role.

In an open and collaborative environment, there is no red tape or bureaucracy. For this, you will be in R&D sitting next DevOps Engineers and Cloud Engineers. This position is in the newest area of the company and you will be able to make a real impact. A highly visible team with a well-established product migrating to the new cloud environment – AWS.

There is lots of learning opportunities, greenfield projects, challenges as well as BAU. There are also flexible hours and a competitive benefits package.

You will:

  • Design, document, develop, test and deploy automation tools
  • Write standard operating procedures and train operation engineers to use and maintain the automation tools
  • Assist the manager in addressing complex provisioning, deployment, configuration, and automation projects
  • Managing SaaS Environments
  • Identify, Analyse and optimize cloud operations processes in collaboration with Network, Platform, Database and Application teams for Automation.

 

Skills/Experience:

  • Strong Linux/Linux Systems Admin/Linux Engineer Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in developing automation tools (Shell/Python/Ruby)
  • 1+ years AWS experience
  • Interest in DevOps or progressing into DevOps

 

Salary: Up to €75,000 DOE

One of the world’s largest technology companies have launched a greenfield project to develop a public cloud. It plans to rival AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud by becoming the market leader in the coming years. They have invested a large amount of resources to establish their largest European based R&D centre in Dublin. Within walking distance to the LUAS, Dart and Bus lines, it is a highly accessible office for all.

Creating the future of cutting-edge technology, you will have a chance to be creative in developing concepts, using C++, so far advanced you may not have even thought to be possible yet. Based in a full end-to-end production environment, the role opens doors to using advanced tools and technology to create tools and applications which will be rolled out to global operations.

This role presents an opportunity to be at the core of a global cloud innovation hub. Collaborating with the chief architect, you will be one of the first members on this greenfield project team.

 

You will:

  • Be responsible for design and implement, using C++, the high-availability deployment architecture, realizing elastic scaling, automatic failover within seconds, and traffic limiting degradation to ensure efficient and stable running of large-scale clusters.
  • Be responsible for optimizing the system performance on the live network, improve the usage of middleware resources, increase system stability, and ensure service running..
  • Continuously improve user experience based on cloud service characteristics and requirements.

 

Experience: 

  • 5+ years’ experience using C++11 or above.
  • Experience working in a live production environment.
  • Experience in distributed systems or computing.
  • Cloud experience is desirable but not essential.

 

Salary / Remuneration:             €90,000 – 120,000

Leading mobile service provider is seeking an experienced system engineer to join their team on the borders of Dublin City Centre. The team has grown from strength to strength over the last 12 months and the organisation is now set to scale its offering across Europe within the next couple of months.

You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time and have ample opportunities to work on numerous projects gaining exposure to the latest technology that will allow you to rapidly progress your IT career. This role with best suit someone coming from a cloud service Linux environment, with database and scripting experience in python or bash. The company is offering a generous base salary, health care, pension, yearly bonus along with subsidised lunches and a fully serviced canteen.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in the design, deployment, maintenance and monitoring of the infrastructure environment in assigned technology specialty and works within established project timelines.
  • Install, configures and supports hardware and software required to operate assigned technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in assigned technology including hardware, software, operating system and application-related issues while maintaining Enterprise Service levels.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to technology installation, administration and maintenance and disaster recovery planning.
  • Perform Availability/ Capacity/ Performance analysis as assigned.
  • Participate in change management and performance improvement programs for assigned technologies, as needed.
  • Perform related duties, as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Business Administration, required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years systems engineering support and maintenance experience in assigned technology area, in a highly available and complex mission-critical environment, required.
  • Experience with server administration, IIS, Apache, MSSQL, MySql, Postgresql, SSRS, experience working with cloud infrastructure

The successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary between €60,000 – €85,000, health care, pension, bonus, and 25days annual leave. This will be a Monday – Friday role however you will be required to work on an on-call rota 1 in 4/5 weeks.
